Summer Practice Program Announced

So you’ve worked really hard on learning or refining your skills over the past season, but don’t want them to get dusty over the summer months? Keep them fresh by joining the practice program held in Hartland! No more long distance traveling, low participation rates or sub-par facilities with less than skilled instructors!

Varsity Coach Christine Hite is holding a lacrosse clinic for 6 weeks over the summer. It is important to continue to build on your lacrosse talent during the off season. Please take advantage of this program! It is a fun and exciting way to keep your skills active.

Practice Program will be held at Ore Creek and will start on June 15th with sequential dates of June 22, 29 and July 13, 20, 27th. Possible rain-out makeup date: July 27th. This year's program cost is $65 per person and it includes a year’s membership to US Lacrosse!

HHS Women's Summer Program Survey

Before the season comes to an end here in just over a month from now, I want to get everyone to start thinking about what they could be doing over the summer to continue their lacrosse skill development. In order to make sure that we have a summer practice program that is adequately geared to the suit the desires of the players and parents supporting the Hartland High School Girls lacrosse program, I want to make sure that there is an avenue available in order to make sure that your feedback and ideas are heard by the coaching staff that will be creating the practice program this year.

Please take a few minutes to complete the survey by clicking the link below. Any type of feedback would be great! At best, it will take you 5 minutes.

New Photo Gallery Layout

Finally! After extensive "usability testing" by the people that use the site the most (the players) I have finally developed a photo gallery layout that should meet the needs of our wide range of site visitors.

With the new photo gallery layout, you can now quickly scan and page through the thumbnails — like you do in Facebook. You can also click the "Play Slideshow" link and sit back and relax. I have also included a link to the original, hi-res file that is suitable for 4" x 6" prints. Download and print whatever you want!

Note to players: if you want to post these to your Facebook page, you will want to use the original file and let Facebook resize the photo down to their max width (or height) of 720 pixels. The medium-sized photos in the preview window are only 600 pixels max.

I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I enjoy taking them. Go Eagles!

The popular lacrosse web site ranks teams by division and overall. Hartland moved up to a number 6 ranking for Division I schools and 9th overall in the state of Michigan. Click here to see all the rankings

UPDATE: As of Monday, April 19, the site adjusted Hartland's ranking to 11th in the state and 8th in Division I. Not sure how they can rank accurately when some of the teams above us have only posted one game. Hmmm....
